The weather forecasts were spot on; heavy snow was the theme! First thing Cara left the house to embark on her 10 mile marathon training run. I found her sometime later when we passed each other as I set off to work on my bike.

The commute to work was an interesting slip and slide in the now 3 inch deep snow. It was evident that the office would be quiet as I passed several cars well and truly stuck in the snow. Eventually after more near misses than I care to mention I arrived at the office.

At the end of the day, heavy snow fell once again. Arriving safely back at home I noticed that one of our trees was almost on-top of my new car. The weight of the accumulated snow was pulling the tree down, so it was off to the garage to find something to clear the tree with. An old kayak paddle did the trick!

Returning to the garage to replace the paddle an old childhood memory came to mind. Moments later I'd fetched one of my kayaks and had set off to the local slopes to go kayak sledging! I confess to regressing quite a few years in the following minutes of fun!
