Boot Camp - Metfield Winching
This weekend just gone I had an intense two days winching with the Suffolk Coastal Floaters Hang Gliding Club. This was part of the Boot Camp event, the aim of which is to train more winch operators and coaches, the life blood of the club!
We had all possible conditions and after the two days I was completely flown out, but returned home with a grin from ear to ear! On Saturday we were using Metfield airfield, this is not the club's main base of operations, but wind direction dictated its use.
For this video I decided to mount my camera to my helmet to give a pilots perspective of one of my launches. The commentary is a little dumbed down, hopefully making the whole thing a little more understandable for the non hang gliding community! Enjoy...
